In March 2020, I discovered the Korean band BTS. Their music reignited a passion that had faded while I was rebuilding my life after domestic abuse.
That renewed connection to music led me to TikTok, where I met artists and joined music communities in Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Those experiences inspired me to create Global Music Discovery: a space for sharing songs, stories and performers that have moved me and deserve to reach a wider audience.
